Sliding scale
A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available for clients who cannot afford the standard rate. If cost is a barrier, please mention it when you reach out — I'd rather find a way to make it work than have you go without support.
Insurance & direct billing
Many extended health benefit plans cover Registered Psychotherapy. I provide receipts you can submit to your insurer. I do not currently offer direct billing — payment is collected at the time of each session. Check your plan for coverage details.
Payment
Payment is accepted by credit card, e-transfer, or PayPal. Invoices are issued after each session for insurance reimbursement purposes.
Cancellation policy
I ask for 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee. I understand that life happens — if something urgent comes up, just let me know.
Common questions
What people ask before starting
How do virtual sessions work?
Sessions are held over a secure, PIPEDA-compliant video platform. You'll receive a link before each appointment. All you need is a private space and a reliable internet connection.
How long does therapy take?
It depends entirely on what you're working on. Some people find 8–12 sessions enough for a focused concern; others prefer ongoing support. We'll check in regularly and adjust as needed.
Do you work with teens?
Yes — I see clients aged 16 and up. For clients under 18, parental or guardian consent is required before we begin.
Do you work with couples?
Yes. Couples sessions are 60 minutes and focus on communication, conflict patterns, and rebuilding connection. Both partners attend together.
Is everything I say confidential?
Yes, with a few legal exceptions: if there is risk of harm to yourself or others, or if a court orders disclosure. I'll explain the full limits of confidentiality in our first session.
What if I'm not sure therapy is right for me?
That's exactly what the free consultation is for. No commitment, no pressure — just a conversation to see if it makes sense.
